GOLD MINERALIZATION TREND OF OVER 2000 METRES INDICATED AT LANGU
May 30, 2005

Amanta Resources Ltd. (the “Company”) is pleased to announce the completion of the first part of its systematic exploration survey of the Langu gold prospect in the southern Thai province of Satun, where the Company holds licences covering approximately 25 km².

The survey includes geochemical soil sampling and line geologic mapping on grids of 250x100 metres and 125x50 metres. The 125x50 metre grid is used over the areas known to host mineralization, such as the Discovery Quarry where an outcrop of limestone-hosted pyrite and arseno-pyrite returns an average of 20 g/t gold over approximately 25 metres and a second (Southern) quarry from which stibnite ore samples have assayed between 12 and 14 g/t gold (see technical report filed on SEDAR January 30, 2004). The wider grid is used over the remainder of the exploration licence.

From the results received so far, a clear and consistent anomalous gold trend between the quarries has been confirmed. This anomalous trend, with a N-S strike, extends for about 2000 metres and is up to 200 metres wide, within the 40ppb gold contour. Peak values are between 100 and 450 ppb gold. Significantly, the northern part of the anomalous trend goes through the Discovery Quarry with values between 40 and 440 ppb gold, while the Southern Quarry is enclosed within the 200 metre wide anomaly.

Field inspection shows the southern section of the anomalous trend confined to a silicified ridge with rocks similar to those exposed in the Southern Quarry. The northern end of the trend occurs over low relief shale and limestone units.

Sample locations are established by GPS and samples are taken from the bottom of freshly dug 30 – 50 cm deep holes. At each location, twin samples are taken, one of which is dried and sieved to minus 80 mesh, while the other sample is archived. The minus 80 mesh fraction is then quartered and a 200 gram sample sent to the Mineral Assay and Services Laboratory in Bangkok.

Gold values are determined by fire assay followed by atomic absorption, using 30 gram samples for a detection limit of 20 ppb and 50 gram samples for a detection limit of 3 ppb gold. Samples are also sent to ACME laboratories in Canada for detection of a suite of 29 elements by inductively coupled plasma methods (ICP.). This suite includes arsenic, antimony, zinc and other potential indicators.

The present survey includes about 2500 samples. Results for some 1400 have now been received, covering the priority areas over the two quarries and the terrain between them. The Company expects to receive the balance of results within the next 15 days or so. Detailed follow up work is planned in order to fully understand the significance of these results.

Amanta Resources Ltd. believes that the results to date are very encouraging and suggest the potential for extensive gold mineralization within the Company’s present licence area.

Geological Information contained within this report has been verified by Pieter Bakker (Director, Executive VP – Amanta Resources Ltd.). Mr. Bakker satisfies the requirements of a Qualified Person as defined in the National Instrument 43-101 (Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects).
