LATEST LANGU ASSAY RESULTS EXTEND GOLD MINERALIZED TREND TO OVER 6000 METRES
June 9, 2005

Vancouver, Canada - Amanta Resources Ltd. (the “Company”) has now received the balance of the assay results from the soil sampling program at its Langu gold prospect in Satun province, Thailand. These results indicate that the previously reported (see News Release dated May 30, 2005) anomalous gold trend now extends for over 6000 metres along a north-south strike within the Company’s 25 km Special Prospecting License areas.

Assays were received from the remaining 1100 sampling points covering an area extending over 4000 metres southward from the Southern Quarry, completing the initial geochemical program of 2500 samples. The clear and consistent anomalous gold trend is now seen to extend southward for over six kilometres from the Discovery Quarry, where an outcrop of limestone-hosted pyrite and arsenian pyrite returned an average gold grade of 25 g/t over approximately 25 metres.

The recent Assay results are from two contiguous areas, each 2km x 2km, one with a 125 x 50-metre sampling grid and one with a wider spaced 250 x 100-metre grid. Within the 40 ppb gold contour the extension of the anomalous trend has a maximum width of up to 500 metres with assay values ranging up to 250ppb gold. Field inspection shows that much of the present extension to the anomalous gold trend appears to be related to a series of low silicified ridges.

The Company believes that these results further confirm the potential for an extensive gold mineralized area within its present license area. In order to obtain a fuller understanding of the significance of these results and of the related geological structures of this target area, the Company has commissioned a detailed, closely spaced (50 x 20-metre) mapping and sampling program over the southern part of the anomalous trend covering 3000 x 1000 metres. This program is now underway.
