AMANTA EXPLORATION UPDATE
September 19, 2007

September 19, 2007. Vancouver, Canada - Amanta Resources Ltd. (Amanta) continues its exploration activities at two of its properties in Thailand; the Langu Gold property, where a 10,000 metre drilling programme is in progress and the Mae Lama Tungsten property, where a limited initial drilling programme started in May 2007.

Langu Gold property

The Langu Gold Property consists of four contiguous Special Exploration Licences (SPLs) in Satun Province, southern Thailand; covering approximately 57 sq. km. Gold mineralization at Langu occurs mainly as stratiform sediment hosted replacement style, closely associated with decalcification and partial replacement of calcareous shale by silica.

Recent drilling at Langu has focused on the Discovery South area. Discovery South extends for 1500 metres south of the Discovery Quarry, an inactive stibnite quarry. The Discovery Quarry was the site of the first high grade outcropping gold mineralization, where a channel sample recorded 20 metres at 20 g/t Au and individual high grade samples showed values of up to 180 g/t Au. Another very large inactive stibnite pit is located at the southern limit of the Discovery South Block. Major gold indications in this area include a four metre trench intercept at 15 g/t Au and the occurrence of visible gold near the large stibnite pit. High grade grab samples in this same location returned 160 g/t Au, and several other locations in the Discovery South area also yielded high grade rock samples during initial mapping programs.

In an earlier limited shallow reconnaissance drilling programme (up to 90 m deep) just north of the Discovery South sector in the vicinity of the Discovery Quarry, several holes intersected mineralization. The best intercept was in drill hole LNG 02, a 75 metre deep drill hole located between the Discovery Quarry and the Discovery South target, which intersected a gold mineralized interval of 2.9 g/t Au, over 3.4 metres, at a depth of approximately 30 metres. This hole also had two other mineralized intervals, each of 1.5 metres and grading 0.2 g/t Au.

In the most recent phase of the Langu drill program, Amanta completed seven widely spaced inclined diamond drill holes for a total length of 1315 metres. The first few of these holes were aimed at intercepting at depth the mineralization encountered in trenches, of which the best intercept was 4 metres at 15 g/t gold in trench Number 1.

Three holes, LNG 20, 21 and 23 were inclined at 60 degrees to the west and intercepted gold mineralization as follows:

- LNG 20 0-3m  3 metres @ 1.9 g/t gold
  12-17m    5 metres @ 0.125 g/t gold
  75-76m  1 metre @ 0.3 g/t gold
- LNG 21 0-1m 1 metre @ 0.33 g/t gold
  89-97m  8 metres @ 0.13 g/t gold
- LNG 23 1-2.5 m  1.5 metres @ 0.20 g/t gold
  181-182m 1 metre @ 0.12 g/t gold

LNG 26
, a scissor hole to LNG 20, 21 and 23, inclined at 60 degrees to the east, intercepted the
following grades:

  10-12m   2 metres @ 1.7 g/t gold
  32-34m 2 metres @ 1.6 g/t gold.

As in the May prospect, the mineralized material is a pyrite-rich brecciated silicified mudstone.

LNG 25, drilled to intercept the apparent N20°E trend of the mineralization between holes LNG 02 and LNG 06 of the Discovery Quarry and the orientation of the stibnite pit, intercepted 5 metres at 0.250 g/t gold between 81 and 86 metres. LNG 26 is also located along this trend.

Reviewing the assay results and re-logging the relevant sections of core is ongoing and it is readily apparent that the high grade mineralization encountered in outcrop, also appears in the form of narrow mineralized intervals of up to 10 centimeters wide, with grades of 15 to 20 g/t Au, in several of the drill holes.

Follow up drilling of the Discovery South Block, planned to commence later this year, will closely examine the 1400 metre long N20ºE trend which has so far been intersected in at least four drill holes.

Mae Lama Tungsten property

Drilling at the Mae Lama tungsten property has been hampered by prolonged, heavier than normal rainfall in northern Thailand, making access and equipment movement difficult, together with a number of mechanical problems with the drill rig assigned to the programme. This has caused progress at Mae Lama to be much slower than planned.

To date, three drill holes have been completed; two in the northwest of the property, some distance from the former production vein that was mined until around 1985, and one in the vicinity of this vein. Assays are awaited for these. A fourth hole, also in the vicinity of the vein, is well advanced.

With the first half of the Langu drilling program complete, the Langu drill rig and crew have now been moved to the Mae Lama tungsten property to accelerate the balance of the programme. Amanta intends to complete up to ten more holes at Mae Lama over the next 6 to 8 weeks.

Geological Information contained within this report has been verified by Pieter Bakker (Director, Executive VP – Amanta Resources Ltd.). Mr. Bakker satisfies the requirements of a Qualified Person as defined in the National Instrument 43-101 (Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects).

Amanta Resources Ltd. is focused on mineral exploration, development and production in Thailand and the Southeast Asian region. The Company concentrates on the systematic evaluation of known mineral occurrences, rather than "greenfields" exploration, creating early opportunities to finance and develop mines.
